Victoria’s Chief Plant Health Officer (CPHO) provides technical and strategic leadership in plant biosecurity through the provision of technical advice, the development of policy, delivery of the state’s plant biosecurity work program and leadership of state-wide responses to Emergency Plant Pest incursions.
The CPHO is responsible for proactively shaping and influencing the national plant biosecurity agenda by working with diverse stakeholders including plant industry groups, federal, state and territory governments and agencies, Plant Health Australia and the community.
