The National Fruit Fly Council (NFFC) met on 18 September at the Ecosciences Precinct in Brisbane, with members attending both in person and online, following the National Fruit Fly Strategic Review and Economic Analysis Workshops.

Council members shared updates and insights on fruit fly management within their respective regions and industries. The meeting also included in-depth discussions on strengthening national preparedness and response capabilities, particularly in relation to priorities such as the ongoing threat of exotic species Bactrocera dorsalis (Oriental fruit fly).
