• National Fruit Fly Symposium returns in September 2025 image

Following the successful event in 2023, the National Fruit Fly Council (NFFC) is excited to announce that the National Fruit Fly Symposium is back — taking place on Thursday, 18 September 2025 at the Ecosciences Precinct in Brisbane, Queensland.

The 2025 event will coincide with the development of the draft National Fruit Fly Strategy 2026–2035 and will run alongside the 2025 Fresh and Secure Trade Alliance (FASTA) Symposium, ensuring strong program alignment and collaboration across key sectors.

The symposium will provide an opportunity to listen, engage and contribute to the next phase of fruit fly management in Australia.

By bringing government, industry, and researchers together in one location, the event fosters cross-sector collaboration, alignment, and stronger national coordination.
